The band is changing again and the Colorado stations are dropping and there's a great path into north central Texas – EM12, EM02, etc. Not a lot of Texas stations working phone on six yet. My guess is the band must be busy on their end … I'm hearing those guys well above 50.200.
My 6M rig is my IC-706, and the funny thing I find myself tuning the VFO and looking over at the DMU display hooked to my FT-2000! It's funny because I didn't realize how much I've become accustomed to the band scope, particularly during contests. I probably should move the 6M antenna to the Yaesu, but I would lose the ability to constantly monitor the 6M calling frequency for activity. Perhaps next contest, I'll switch antennas ahead of time!
